Before you learn how to search for someone on Tinder, please read this.
Everyone has a right to privacy and deserves not to be stalked. It’s one thing if you’ve matched with them, but it’s a little unethical if you search for them without matching, or to try and find someone specific.
That said, sometimes you want to match with them for personal reasons, like missed potential. I get that.
Just please don’t be a creep about it.
Here are some ways you can search for a particular profile on Tinder.
1. Search your Tinder matches
The easiest way to find a particular profile on Tinder is to search through your matches.
Because looking through your match list is the only search option that’s available to you on Tinder.
You can simply scroll through your matches to find who you’re looking for, or type in the profile name in the search bar if you remember a certain profile.

2. Specify your Tinder search options
Here’s how you could potentially find a certain profile if you haven’t matched with them.
Maybe you saw someone who really stood out to you while you were on Tinder, but couldn’t swipe right on them.
Or maybe you were unsure, so wanted to think on things before swiping.
And then after logging back onto Tinder, you couldn’t find them anymore.
Well, you could potentially find them again by narrowing down your discovery preferences.
Narrowing down your discovery preferences can allow you to match their description and swipe to find their Tinder profile.
That means narrowing your age range and location to what you remember about their profile.
You have a higher chance of seeing them again by narrowing your discovery preferences.
That being said, if you’re not going to match with them because you’re concerned they’ll never see your Tinder Profile, I suggest looking into Tinder Platinum.

3. Type their username or Instagram into your browser
Another easy way to find a certain Tinder profile is using their username or Instagram.
If you remember their username or Instagram handle, you could try typing it into your browser. Maybe they’ll pop up.
You can also type this exact search in the browser, like this:
Type https://tinder.com/@[username] in your browser.
Maybe they’ll be in the top search results.
Sometimes this will work, sometimes it won’t, but it’s another tool in your toolkit to try out to find someone in particular.
4. Use Google’s site search tool
Instead of typing their username into your web browser, try this.
Type it into a search engine, like Google. Not Bing though, or else you’ll just get a ham sandwich for your search result.
Type “site:tinder.com [person’s name]” into Google search engine.
Something may just come up, as Google can often save the day.
5. Use their email address
If you’re unsure if someone is on Tinder, but you somehow have their email, use this method.
Maybe it’s a coworker, friend, or someone you know.
Enter their email into https://www.peoplelooker.com/.
Just keep in mind, this method isn’t free. So be prepared to shell out some dinero for it.

6. Reverse image search
Here’s how you can search someone’s Tinder profile if you have a photo of them.
First, find a photo of them. Maybe it’s from an old high school yearbook, or from Instagram.
Save/download, screenshot the picture.
And then upload their image to https://socialcatfish.com/.
If they’re on Tinder, they may pop up if they’re using that particular photo on their profile.
However, you may need to try a few different photos to increase the chances that one of the photos you upload is being used on their profile.
Again, please keep this in mind again. Everyone has a right to privacy. So please don’t stalk or act like a creepo weirdo using these Tinder Profile Search functions.
Or your love life could turn into shambles.
7. Use their phone number
If you have someone’s phone number you may be able to find them on Tinder.
Maybe you got their phone number through friends, or work, or through copying it off of some dive bar bathroom stall.
Regardless, you want to find out if they have a Tinder profile.
Enter their phone number on https://www.intelius.com/.
This method also isn’t free, but it can tell you if someone is using Tinder using that particular phone number.
Then you could have an easier time finding them on Tinder by narrowing your search parameters again.

Searching for a particular Tinder Profile isn’t the easiest.
But using the methods here, you’ll have a far better chance finding the person you’re looking for.
Now, if you want to try matching with them…well that’s a different story.
To do that, you’re going to need great pictures and a great bio.
The better your pictures and bio are, the more matches you’ll get in general.
Hell, you may not even need to use a Tinder Search function then because you’d be matching with so many people!
